Chris, it seems to me that something in Gnome is implemented not so accurate or there \
is conflict between operating system and Gnome. I've seen some similar messages in my \
FreeBSD 7.1 Release.
Also, Gnome started very slowly. I've tried editing file \
/usr/local/share/xsessions/gnome.desktop (see param --warn-delay --purge-delay) to \
speed up loading. Now it starts quickly. But some error messages still arise.
