Subject:    Locking down Gnome

 From what I can tell, the way to lock down the interface (kind of like 
a kiosk mode) is to copy the files in each time a user logs in?  Is that 
right?  I saw an oldish post (January 2002) recommending that.  Is that 
the current recommentation?  Simply changing permissions/ownership seems 
to make Gnome non-functional.
