Quite strange. Maybe your modem profile contains ATQ1, which prohibits
result code messages (but the previous commands got an OK answer, so
I'm confused). You can try issue the following AT commands:

    ATZ
    ATQ0
    AT&W

or apply the following patch to 0.6.4:
