Folks,

Just installed GutenPrint 5.1.3. Doesn't look like it has a driver for the A3
capable Canon iX5000. I'm using Mac OSX tiger (10.4.x). Could someone please
advise if there's a GutenPrint driver package for the iX5000? I need to be able
to print to the iX5000 via a print server (the D-Link DP301U) but the Canon
driver package that I obtained from Canon would appear to be useless as there
appears to be no way to make IP printing happen using Canon's driver (the Canon
driver requires physical USB connection). On the other hand, I have been able
to use GutenPrint drivers to print to the iX5000 via the Print Server by using
a different model driver that's supplied in GutenPrint. The problem is that
using a different GutenPrint Canon printer driver results in distortion of the
print as it wasn't really designed to be used for the iX5000 (e.g. due to differences
in resolution between models, different types of ink tank etc).
