   I used the file:
   gimp-print-4.3.25.tar.bz2

   Then (as root):
   ./configure --with-cups && make && make install

   I did not need to remove any of the old files from the /usr/lib or take 
   any other steps not mentioned here.

With 4.3.25 you most likely wouldn't have to.  The issue's really with
4.2 right now.
