Release announcement: Gimp-Print 4.2.2 for Jaguar is available now as a 
standard Mac OS X installer package! This is the final release of 
Gimp-Print 4.2.2. Please see the new webpage for Mac users at 
http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/MacOSX.php3 for up-to-information and 
downloads.

Included in this latest release is the file "How to Print with 
Gimp-Print," an easy-to-follow, illustrated guide for setting up and 
using the Gimp-Print printer drivers in Mac OS X. This guide includes 
instructions for printing directly from applications that generate 
PostScript code, such as Appleworks, and most Adobe Applications. 
Please see the release notes included with the installer for a complete 
list of changes.

Product Description: High Quality open-source printer drivers for 
Epson, Canon, Lexmark, and HP printers. The Gimp-Print printer drivers 
act as plugins to the CUPS printing spooler built-in to Mac OS 10.2 
Jaguar. All earlier versions of Mac OS do not contain CUPS and are 
therefore not compatible with Gimp-Print. Gimp-Print provides excellent 
drivers for many printers that are otherwise unsupported on Mac OS X 
(almost every Epson inkjet!). Even for printers with available 
vendor-supplied drivers the Gimp-Print drivers often provide superior 
results . The Gimp-Print drivers will print to any supported printer 
via USB, TCP/IP (including through inexpensive parallel-port print 
servers), and even to shared Windows printers via SAMBA.
