Could you clarify the Hitachi 9600? Is it a 9200 or a 9900? This is very
interesting to me and I would like to get more information on this.

Thank you...

I successfully installed GFS file system in SAN environment with the
following parameters:

	17 DELL 2xXeon Servers plus 1 DELL lock server with one QLA2200
each;
	Three Brocade 2800 Switches;
	HITACHI 9600 with more then 5TB Storage with 8 ports;
	All in Fabric Configuration.

Performance is ok, there were minimal issues with stability with intensive
i/o but no data loss.

OK, this for Alpha boxes.
Other experiences with more than 4 boxes connected to the SAN?
Now I'm referring specifically to Intel boxes.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks a lot.

And what about the storage box(es)?

Bye,

Gianluca

We have 5 dual CPU Alphas using Qlogic FC HBA's through a Gadzoox
switch mounting 6 GFS partitions with a total capacity of 2TB.
The Alphas are running 2.4.5-ac13

Locking is via switched 100Mb/Sec ethernet to 800MHz PIII.
The Alphas are running 2.4.5-ac13, the Pentium just bog standard Red Hat 7.

Performance is variable, reliability has been good - no data lost
due to GFS so far (touch wood).

This is a df from one of the nodes:

/dev/pool/pool0       19343276   2741268  16602008  14% /nlib
/dev/pool/pool1      503169364 489451908  13717456  97% /data1

Hope this helps.
