Bug#: 272
Product: GFS
Version: 4.1
Platform:
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Resolution:
Severity: blocker
Priority: P4
Component: gfs
AssignedTo: gfs-bugs@sistina.com
ReportedBy: declerck@sistina.com
URL:
Summary: Executables will not run on a GFS filesystem

As pointed out by Ken it would seem that recent code introduced to enable
shared-writeable MMAP has broken the ability to run executables on a GFS
file system. Trying to run a simple shell script from within a GFS file
system results in:

[root@gfs02 gfs02]# ../bin/time-tar 250 ../linux-2.4.5.tar.gz
bash: ../bin/time-tar: Bad address

If the script is placed in a non-GFS filesystem (/tmp) it runs without errors.
