I have a system running smoothly over Ethernet and TCP/IP, and would like to
bring it home and run PPP instead. If there is any Gentoo documentation on
PPP, I've missed it, and would like to ask for an outline of what I need.


So far, I've 1) emerge'd PPP, 2) compiled PPP support into the kernel and 3)
gotten the modem dialing after some messing with setserial. What else do I
need to change from the standard Gentoo networking setup to add a working
ppp interface? Pointers to a sample config would be especially welcome.
