1. gentoolkit doesn't build anything. You said 'gentookit' which I
am taking as a typographical error? Anyway, you are doing
'emerge dialog' here, I think, which is a gentoolkit dependency
so that all makes sense.
2. More interesting. To get -lncursesw, you have to build
ncurses USEing unicode:
USE='unicode' emerge ncurses
And dialog does look for -lncursesw IF you USE='unicode' emerge dialog
You should be able to USE=unicode emerge ncurses
and fix the problem. (Or add unicode to the USE list in make.conf)
