Howdy all.  I'm trying to emerge db-3.2.9-r2 and not having much luck. 
Basically, my box gets to this point

 * Building db-3.2.9 (static)...

Then it just stalls there.  I can ping it, but can't connect to it in
any other way (doesn't respond to ssh or dns requests).  It never seems
to recover on its own and I've just had to reboot it.

Any ideas?
