Subject:    [gentoo-newbies] libpangoxft doesnt exist

solved my gnome startup failure with a simple "emerge pango". 
apparently that is required but not built automatically.
but now it gnome-session complains that it cant find 
libpangoxft-1.0.so.0
and indeed, it doesnt exist. but i did install pango, and i have 
libpangoft2, libpangox, but no libpangoxft.
is there some USE variable that is not set by default, to build those 
libraries?
