I've got one for you, since it seems you missed the big discussion last
week of 'MOVE != MERGE', and didn't update any instances of the above
packages in the tree to reflect the new package names...

In a package that I maintain (sys-apps/readahead-list), I have this
DEPEND data (fluff left out):
DEPEND="virtual/os-headers
		!=sys-kernel/linux26-headers-2.6.8.1*"

This is because I found that the linux26-headers-2.6.8.1 did NOT work (I
filed bug #86178 about it, it's another manifestation of bug #83224).

However, linux-headers-2.6.8.1* do seem to to work perfectly fine, as do
linux-headers-2.6.11. This is going to cause lots of pains for users
that want to have the package.

Your merge of the two trees above is non-ideal, as the ebuilds that had
matching version numbers don't seem to have identical ebuilds, so what
the user actually has is dependant on what the package was called when
it was installed.
