Yeah that would be nice if it worked, but portage does not seem to be
able to cope with that set in the make.conf
build-host # grep PKGDIR /etc/make.conf
PKGDIR=${PORTDIR}/packages/${CCHOST:-${CHOST}}
build-host # emerge info | grep ^PKGDIR
PKGDIR=""
emerge something
Traceback ......
Even with them both explicitly defined in make.conf it wont work ;/
