Is there a way to use portage without downloading all the scripts using rsync?  
For example, I would type

	emerge --location ftp://ftp.gentoo.org/portage pkgname

And it will download into temp files only needed package to determine 
dependencies / go ahead with the merge.

Or is the current portage force to have all the ebuild locally available? (NFS 
is not an option in the case I'm looking for)
