Grab the gcc tarball there and stick it into /usr/portage/packages/All
(you might need to create the directory) then do an emerge -K gcc.

While Duncan's stage method will work, this is much simpler and is doe
by the x86 architecture team.  Don't file bugs against packages here,
however, as they're "unofficial" only in the sense of being unsupported.
They're created by us, using the default USE, but shouldn't be treated
as anything officially supported.
