Hi there,

Some time ago changed from XFCE to Gnome 2.6.
I love XFCE but there are some features I steel miss. I love Gnome too,
however there are some glitches that are really annoying and are getting
me thinking to return to XFCE, unless I can resolve them.

Well, unfortunately I steel have a 800x600 Desktop which is for some
applications not sufficient to show all window contents in that size. I
had done some optimizations concerning font size and themes so I can
enjoy a little more in such frustrating desktop size, however I miss a
feature in Gnome that I was used in every other WM/DM: simply pressing
ALT + Mouse Click to move the window to wherever I want, putting it
wherever I want. In Gnome however, in it's default config it doesn't let
the top of the window pass from the top of the panel (without panel, the
top of Desktop).

This is something I can't live with, in such little desktop resolution.
Is there any way to configure Gnome/Metacity so it behavior is the same
as other WM???

thanks for any suggestion,

Joćo C. Pinto
