hi,
a friend wants to emerge avifile, but it fails with:
configure: WARNING: If you wanted to set the --build type, don't use
--host.
If a cross compiler is detected then cross compile mode will be
used.

i had this only under debian, but never under gentoo. What can be the
problem?
