thats because openoffice is not an kde-application nor is it an
gnome-application or anything else

so u have to set the fonts for openoffice in open office

open the writer or any other oo-application
tools -> options:there u have many font options

for example: openoffice.org->fonts
or: text document-> basic fonts

BUT i have no idea how any of this settings affect the menues or
something
