Thanks for the insight.
Questions:
Would the system -> shutdown radio button constitute a APM event?
Would this allow for the machine to actually poweroff remaining within
the GUI?

I guess there's a number of cool APM events that could be taken
advantage of. Any notable one's to investigate?
