You'll find dri support in kernel configuration here :
"Character Device" -> "Direct Rendering Manager  (XFree DRI Support)"

If you have a file named /proc/config (it's you kernel config), you may try something like
that : cat /proc/config | grep DRM (really DRM, not DRI !) to see if you have DRI
support in your kernel.
