Maybe it has something to do with you previous nvidia card and the opengl-update
script (from /usr/sbin).
try opengl-update --help

Maybe, but few lines upper, you have also this message :
(WW) fglrx(0): DRI initialization failed!
Do you have enabled dri support in your kernel ?
