Hi,

I've found a problem with gawk. gcc-3.3.3-r4, gcc-3.3.3-r5 and maybe all
following versions (still testing on that) will produce a non working
gawk. ( I only observed this only on alpha.)
gcc-3.3.2-r7 and gcc-3.3.3 do what they are expected to.

symptoms:

+ /sbin/depscan.sh output:
--8<-----8<-----8<-----8<-----8<-----8<-----8<-----8<-----8<-----8<-----8<---
* Caching service dependencies...
 * No scripts to process!
/var/lib/init.d/depcache: /var/lib/init.d/depcache: No such file or directory
--8<-----8<-----8<-----8<-----8<-----8<-----8<-----8<-----8<-----8<-----8<---

+ various ebuilds that depend on gawk break

Can anybody confirm that???

see bugs.gentoo.org #52998

TIA
Alexander Rauth
