Hi,
I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays. I have a quick question or two. Is it \
better/recommended to build egcs-1.1.1 via cvs with the egcs_latest_snapshot version \
or via the ftp tar-ball.
I have first tried to make it from the tar file, but after configuring (for \
alpha-dec-osf4.0b), my make bootstrap fails with:
gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I/usr/local/src/egcs-1.1.1/texinfo/lib -I.. -I../intl -g -O2 \
-c /usr/local/src/egcs-1.1.1/texinfo/lib/getopt.c
/usr/local/src/egcs-1.1.1/texinfo/lib/getopt.c:34: config.h: No such file or \
directory
I have found many config.h files on my system but I'm not sure which to use.
# find /usr -name config.h -print \
/usr/local/egcs_build/libiberty/config.h
/usr/local/egcs_build/texinfo/config.h
/usr/local/egcs_build/gcc/config.h
/usr/local/temp_include/config.h
/usr/local/patch-2.5/config.h
/usr/sys/include/sys/config.h
/usr/patch-2.5/config.h
Instead, I'm now building egcs_latest_snapshot via cvs. It's still building, but I'm \
not sure if this is the right/best/recommended way for the build.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You..
