I met with Gumby earlier this month to discuss how to arrange that we all work together effectively. We reaffirmed that each change installed in EGCS has to have a sponsor, someone who takes responsibility for getting that change installed in the standard GCC release. This means working with the GCC maintainers to clean up the change, make it fit the general design principles, document it, etc., as needed to get the change installed. The sponsor can be the person who wrote the change, or someone else willing to accept this responsibility. It sounds like now is the time that the sponsors of all the changes in EGCS which are ready for installation in GCC should start bringing them forward and working with you to get them into 2.9. Once these changes are on the table, then it will be possible to think about which ones to install in the immediate future.
