Ok, gambas-gb-gtk_1.9.9-1-v20050630 and gambas-gb-v4l_1.9.9-1-v20050629
are already available as debian packages. They can be used as described
at http://gambas.sourceforge.net/download.html

God bless Benoît for splitting the source allowing this fast
packaging :-D
