Read "Makefile.config" - where it reads:
# Some versions of Linux have broken the crypt() function out into a
# separate library - uncomment the following line if authsrv fails to build.
#AUXLIB= -lcrypt

You'll need to uncomment the AUXLIB line (remove the leading "#").
