Hello,

I am not sure that I am posting this in the right place, so if I should
post it elsewhere, your help in finding that place would be appreciated!

I have been living with a problem with my X environment running fvwm95.
I currently have my .fvwm2rc95 set to 'Style SloppyFocus'. Everything
works fine, except when I am scrolling. While scrolling with the middle
mouse button, if I leave the scroll area rectangle, I can generally
crash whatever window I was scrolling. If the mouse moves into the
window content area, I generally end up pasting whatever text is
available to paste, as rapidly as I change pixels with the mouse. If I
move outside the window, whatever is behind that window starts having
problems. In either case, the window I was scrolling disappears. The
problem does not happen with twm.

I have tried this with XFree86 3.2 and 3.3 to no avail, and with fvwm
2.0.41 (the slackware release) and 2.0.43a. Here is a partial list of
my system libs:

/lib/libc.so.4 /lib/libgdbm.so.1.7.3
/lib/libc.so.4.7.6 /lib/libm.so.4
/lib/libc.so.5 /lib/libm.so.4.6.27
/lib/libc.so.5.3.12 /lib/libm.so.5
/lib/libcom_err.so.2 /lib/libm.so.5.0.6
/lib/libcom_err.so.2.0 /lib/libncurses.so
/lib/libcurses.so.0 /lib/libncurses.so.1.9
/lib/libcurses.so.0.1.2 /lib/libncurses.so.1.9.9e
/lib/libcurses.so.1 /lib/libncurses.so.2.1
/lib/libcurses.so.1.0.0 /lib/libncurses.so.3
/lib/libdl.so.1 /lib/libncurses.so.3.0
/lib/libdl.so.1.7.14 /lib/libsnmp.so
/lib/libe2p.so.2 /lib/libsnmp.so.3.4
/lib/libe2p.so.2.1 /lib/libss.so.2
/lib/libext2fs.so.2 /lib/libss.so.2.0
/lib/libext2fs.so.2.0 /lib/libtermcap.so.2
/lib/libgdbm.so.1 /lib/libtermcap.so.2.0.8

If anyone has any information about this, I sure would appreciate it.

Thanks!

Brian
