About: abcm2ps is a package that converts music tunes from ABC format to
PostScript. Based on abc2ps version 1.2.5, it was developed mainly to print
baroque organ scores that have independant voices played on one or more
keyboards, and a pedal-board. It introduces many extensions to the ABC

About: Nephthys provides a Web interface to create file-sharing "buckets",
through which data can be shared. Nephthys handles the buckets in the local
filesystem of the server. Access and data transfer is made via FTP and
WebDAV. Nephthys itself does not provide the access protocol, but relies on
well known projects like Apache HTTPD (WebDAV) and ProFTPD (FTP).
Changes: This release contains some fixes for bugs such as problems with
quoting input data and suppressing some PHP notice-messages. In addition,
the cache-path for the Smarty template engine is now configurable, which
was necessary for building a Debian package. A user's default
bucket-expiration time is now manageable by admins via the user-management

About: Task Coach is a simple todo manager to manage personal tasks and
todo lists. It grew out of a frustration that well-known task managers,
such as those provided with Outlook or Lotus Notes, do not provide
facilities for composite tasks. Often, tasks and other things to do consist
of several activities. Task Coach is designed to deal with composite tasks.
Changes: This release has a few bugfixes and one usability enhancement:
when double-clicking an item in a viewer, Task Coach opens the editor on
the right page, depending on the column clicked. For example, when clicking
on the due date column in a task viewer, the task editor will be opened
with the dates page raised.

About: Terrier is software for the rapid development of Web, intranet, and
desktop search engines. More generally, it is a modular platform for
building large-scale information retrieval applications, providing indexing
and probabilistic retrieval functionalities. It comes with a desktop search
application.
Changes: This is a substantial update, which includes new support for
Hadoop, primarily a Hadoop Map Reduce indexing system, allowing large
collections of documents to be indexed in a highly distributed fashion.
Also included are various minor improvements, including improved support
for the IIT CDIP1 (TREC Legal track) collection, and various bug fixes.
This is intended to be the ultimate release in the 2.x series.

About: Theory is a Python/Pylons-based Web client for the MPD system that
uses Ajax where it makes sense. It includes drag/drop playlist reordering,
Amazon cover art retrieval, a full-screen "party" mode, lyrics fetching
from lyricswiki.org, automatic linking to the artist's Wikipedia page, and
a decent theme.
Changes: This release adds a simple filesystem browser. It fixes Unicode
bugs all around. It increases getStatus() timeout. The playlist widget is
clickable rather than hover-activated. A bug in the stream saving form has
been fixed. A bug in the configuration screen when the MPD server is
unresponsive has been fixed.

About: UFRaw is a utility for converting and manipulating raw images from
digital cameras. It can be used as a stand-alone tool or as a Gimp plugin,
and images can be batch processed using the commandline interface. UFRaw
reads most existing raw formats using Dave Coffin's raw conversion utility
DCRaw, and it supports basic color management using Little CMS, allowing
the user to apply color profiles. For Nikon users, UFRaw has the advantage
that it can read the camera's tone curves. Even if you don't own a Nikon,
you can still apply a Nikon curve to your images.
Changes: The most interesting change in this release is paralelization of
the image generation process using OpenMP. This means that UFRaw can make
use of your multi-core system.

About: What's Wrong With My NLP? is visualizer and graphical diff for
natural language processing problems. It can jointly display syntactic and
semantic dependencies as well as all types of chunk information such as NP,
NER, or SRL chunks. It also allows you to compare your system output to a
gold standard in order to find the mistakes your system makes. There are
numerous ways to filter the graph and only display what is needed. It is
also possible to search a corpus for sentences with certain properties
using Lucene search expressions.
Changes: This is an alpha version that enables users to also visualize
bilingual alignments. Under the hood, the code has been refactored to
completely support different renders for different file formats.

About: Xapian is a search engine library, scalable to collections
containing hundreds of millions of documents. It's written in C++ with
bindings for Perl, Python, PHP, Java, Tcl, C#, and Ruby. It is a highly
adaptable toolkit that allows developers to easily add advanced indexing
and search facilities to their own applications. It supports the
Probabilistic Information Retrieval model and also a rich set of boolean
query operators. Omega is a Web search application built upon the Xapian
library. It can index a Web server's document tree (including HTML, PDF,
OpenOffice, MS Word/Excel/Powerpoint/Works, WordPerfect, RTF, PS, etc.), or
data exported from arbitrary sources (e.g. SQL databases).
Changes: This release fixes a possible case of database corruption if the
disk fills up while writing out changes. The lockfile for a flint database
is now created using the umask setting. Previously, it wasn't possible to
open a flint database for update if it was owned by another user, even with
sufficient permissions via "group" or "other". Composing an OP_NEAR query
with two non-term subqueries now throws UnimplementedError instead of
AssertionError.
