About: Advchk is a tool for monitoring the security of installed software.
Advisory Check gathers security advisories using RSS/RDF/XML feeds,
compares them against a list of known software, and alerts you if you're
vulnerable. Since adding software lists by hand would be quite a boring
task, advchk leverages your system's package manager for detecting
software. Software installed on remote systems can be monitored by
executing the remote package manager as an SSH ForcedCommand using
Public-key authentication.
Changes: SSH-Update can now use multiple remote package managers on the
same host. Upgrading to this version requires a "advchk -R host -A host"
for each host.

About: Asymptote is a powerful descriptive vector graphics language for
technical drawing, inspired by MetaPost but with an improved C++-like
syntax. It provides for figures the same high-quality level of typesetting
that LaTeX does for scientific text. Asymptote is a programming language as
opposed to just a graphics program. It can exploit the best features of
script (command-driven) and graphical user interface (GUI) methods.
High-level graphics commands are implemented in the language itself,

About: Conary is a distributed software management system for Linux
distributions. It replaces traditional package management solutions (such
as RPM and dpkg) with one designed to enable loose collaboration across

About: DarkWorld is a space-based massively multiplayer real-time strategy
game. Each player starts off with their own home planet. From there they
can build ships, start exploring the universe, colonize other planets, and
attack other players. What makes this game unique is that the game is
always running at a very slow speed even when you are not connected. When
you send a ship to another planet, it may not arrive for hours or days,
and likewise the message it sends back may not arrive for hours or days.
This allows many players to engage in a real-time strategy game that could
last for months. New players can join the game at any time.
Changes: Visible changes on the client side include the ability to attack
other players, view events that happened while logged out, and view
real-time player scores. Many changes were made on the server side to
enable these new features. The server also supports the ability to
constantly save the game to a database, however this new feature is not
well tested.

About: dbackup is a disk-based client-server backup system for Linux or
other UNIX systems. It works on the principle that disks are cheaper and
more reliable than tapes. Backups are started by cron, probably on a daily
basis, by the client. The client backs up individual filesystems or
directories with tar and sends the result to the server, which stores them
in a simple tree-based directory structure. Restores are trivial, either by
using the supplied restore client, or by simply copying the appropriate tar
files off the server and uncompressing them.
Changes: This release is a major change that breaks backward

accudate is a date replacement with subsecond accuracy. columnadd adds
integers, decimals, and/or times in columns. execinput executes commands
one at a time from stdin. extract extracts and then emits column/token

buffers large binary data streams to minimize wear on tape devices.
msgqueue provides command line control of message queues.

About: FreeWERM is a Web-based application that can manage the HR side of
any business. It stores attendance, payroll, personnel, and departmental
data. It can also create Excel reports and PDF documents based on the
information in its database. It also comes with a feature for granting and
modifying access privileges for employees who are using it.
Changes: It's possible for users to look up when records were altered,
added, or deleted through FreeWERM. Clicking on the "QUERY DB LOG" on the
left side of the screen will take you to this new page, where you fill out
what kind of action you are looking for and from what section, with a date
or date range included. You can also specify an employee ID# to look for.
FreeWERM will show the date and time the action was performed, along with
the name of the employee who executed it and the actual action that was
taken.

fix it. The login code was the oldest code from the v7 port, and was in a

and GOption. The required version of GTK+ is now 2.6. But you will need
2.10 if you want to have the status icon. You can still use the applet for
older versions. The history parsing should now work properly with long
messages. There are also many other assorted protocol and UTF-8 bugfixes.

About: UFRaw is a utility for converting and manipulating raw images from
digital cameras. It can be used as a stand-alone tool or as a Gimp plugin,
and images can be batch processed using the commandline interface. UFRaw
reads most existing raw formats using Dave Coffin's raw conversion utility
DCRaw, and it supports basic color management using Little CMS, allowing
the user to apply color profiles. For Nikon users, UFRaw has the advantage
that it can read the camera's tone curves. Even if you don't own a Nikon,
you can still apply a Nikon curve to your images.

About: The Zero Install Injector makes it possible for users to install
software easily and without the need for root privileges. It takes the URL
of a program's interface description and chooses suitable versions of the
program and all of its dependencies (also identified by URLs) according to

etc). The chosen versions are downloaded and cached and the program is run,
using environment variables to let it find the components.
