About: AQuoSA is an open architecture for the provisioning of Quality of
Service related functionality into the Linux kernel. The project features
a flexible, portable, and lightweight software architecture for supporting
QoS-related services on top of a general-purpose operating system as Linux.
The architecture is well founded on formal scheduling analysis and control
theoretical results. At the core of the software is an adaptive Resource
Reservation layer that is capable of dynamically adapting the CPU
allocation for QoS-aware applications based on its run-time requirements.
Changes: The AQuoSA monitor is a custom version of the
gnome-system-monitor that supports management of the AQuoSA CPU servers
(i.e. virtual CPUs). For each process, the "Server ID" column shows the
identifier of the server the process is attached to, while the "Bandwidth"
column shows the maximum fraction of the CPU that is reserved to that
server. The context-sensitive menu available through a right-click on a
process has a new "Manage QoS" button, which shows a dialog that may be
used to attach the process to an existing server, or to a new dedicated
server.

but is driven by filesystem events instead of time periods. It contains
two programs, a daemon called "incrond" (analogous to crond) and a table

crashing on IN_CREATE. A build failure (due to missing "useradd -M" on some

About: The Little Brother's Database (lbdb) consists of a set of small
tools which collect mail addresses from several sources and offer these
addresses to the external query feature of the Mutt mail reader.
Changes: "SORT_OUTPUT=reverse_comment" was added to do reverse sorting by
the third column. For example, the most recent m_inmail timestampt is
returned at the top. The LDAP_NICKS variable in lbdb.rc was commented out
because this is only an example and otherwise hides other LDAP settings.

About: The littleutils are a collection of small but useful programs.
These programs include a duplicate file finder (repeats), image optimizers
(opt-jpg, opt-png, opt-gif, and recomp-jpg), file renaming utilities
(lowercase and uppercase), archive recompressors (to-bzip, to-7zip, and
to-lzma), a tempfile utility (tempname), text file cleanup utilities
(notabs, notrails, and lreplace), some low-level file query utilities
(filesize, filedate, filemode, and filenode), plus others. Web site
administrators will find the image optimizers particularly useful, while
script writers will find some of the lower-level utilities more useful.
Changes: A new utility called recomp-jpg was added, and is used for
shrinking down oversized JPEG image files. Several other bugfixes and
minor feature enhancements were also made. A build issue with version

About: LON-CAPA (The LearningOnline Network with CAPA) is a learning
content and course management system. It offers an underlying shared
content pool from which instructors across departmental and institutional
boundaries can assemble granular learning content for their courses. It
has strong assessment capabilities, both formative (homework and in-class
using wireless PDAs) and summative (online and bubblesheet exams), with a
one-source multiple-target strategy for the content. It offers students
portfolio space in which they can stage materials for submission to
projects, and provides a number of tools for synchronous and asynchronous
student-student and student-faculty communication. LON-CAPA scales well
with number of students, as load-balancing is possible across the whole
network of servers at participating institutions.

About: With 'nixstaller' you can easily make installers for Unix-like
systems. Some of the project goals: support for many different platforms,
support for different (optional) frontends used by the installer
(currently FLTK, ncurses, GTK 2, and Qt are planned), ease of use for the

files to a location, compile software on the user's system, and maybe even
integration for the package manager running on the user's system).

collections for books, bibliographies, comic books, videos, music, video
games, coins, stamps, trading cards, and wines, and also allows custom
collections. Unlimited user-defined fields are allowed. Filters are

customization for printing is possible through editing the default XSLT
file. It can import CSV, Bibtex, Bibtexml, RIS, MODS, CDDB, and audio file
