About: ActiveKB is an easy to use, powerful knowledge base software
package. It features simple installation, a WYSIWYG HTML editor,
attachments, unlimited questions and answers, an active response system,
and much more. It is also totally rebrandable.

Changes: The look and feel was updated. Language packs now support both
the front and back end. Complete Mozilla/Firefox support was implemented.
Multiple administrators are now allowed. Search engine friendly URLs were
implemented along with the ability to choose keyword-based search or full
text search from admin/front end. The stylesheet was moved into a separate
file. Categories can now be password protected. An image manager was added
to the WYSIWYG editor. A "Weight" field was added for questions. Multiple
attachments are now possible. Email notification when comments are posted,
the ability to add a description to a category, and RSS feeds for
categories were added.

About: ale (Another Linux Editor) is a small, fast text  editor with very
basic features. It is designed  to edit or create config files or other
text  based files. It supports long line lengths  (65535 characters), and
the number of lines is  limited only by the available memory. It has a 
basic text search function, goto line, and other  basic editing functions.
It is not intended to  be an IDE or to parse regex expressions, but  when
you need speed and low overhead.

About: Backstep is a program that draws icons for minimized windows on
your desktop. It works in conjunction with various window managers or
desktop drawing programs. It allows windows to be identified by position
rather than with a taskbar and also provides the ability to group windows
together so that when a window is shown or hidden, so are all the windows

iconv, md5-stream for easy MD5 calculation, threading classes, socket
classes, a dynamic exception-safe buffer, a wrapper for dlopen/dlsym, a
pool template (e.g., for a connection pool in a multi-threaded
application), query_params, and a class for easy parsing of CGI parameters
(GET and POST) in a CGI program.

Changes: Naming of classes and methods is now consistent. Classes start
with uppercase, methods with lowercase.

About: DSPAM is a server-side statistical anti-spam agent for Unix email
servers. It masquerades as the email server's local delivery agent and
effectively filters spam using a combination of de-obfuscation techniques,
specialized algorithms, and statistical analysis. The result is an
administratively maintenance-free, self-learning anti-spam tool. DSPAM has
yielded real-world success rates beyond 99.9% accuracy with less than a
0.01% chance of false positives.

Changes: Compensates for a number quoting bug in some versions of MySQL
4.1. Adds persistent mode/user support for the css_drv driver. Adds

RPC method calls between a client and server. No RMI stubs or J2EE remote
interfaces are needed. It keeps session state between calls and works

Changes: This release includes significant changes to the internal
structure to create pluggable interfaces for RPC worker threads,
serializers, encoders, and security. You can now customize the RPC worker

exception handling. A working example of a custom serializer for JSON is

About: FreeVMS is an OpenVMS-like operating system which can run on
several architectures like i386, PPC, Alpha, and many others. It consists
of a POSIX kernel and a DCL command line interpreter. The only
architecture currently supported is i386. 

Changes: A new Bliss compiler is available with some support for bit field
signs. A basic cancel service was added, with ttdrvr cancelio. Changes are
signed in CMUIP IPACP. A directory was missing the least bit check with
options. Ttdrvr crashed when setmode was used in other process context.
Some bugs in RMS that were added with the last ifab feature addition were
mostly fixed. Finishio was void, and did not set ipl to 0. Tty_read
returned the same number it was to read max.

classes was reduced by half. Switched to Berkeley Db instead of Sqlite for
better speed and concurrency. Improved video playback: support for more
than one video stream, including picture-in-picture. GUI objects support
gradients, borders, and different background styles.

About: mod-vhost-ldap is an Apache 2.x module for storing and configuring
virtual hosts from LDAP. It supports DocumentRoot, ScriptAlias,
ServerName, ServerAlias, ServerAdmin, and SuexecUserGroup directives. It's
built on top of mod_ldap, so it uses its caching capabilities and can be
used with a threaded Apache httpd. 

Changes: Support for Fallback Virtual Host was added. This fallback is
used in cases when requested virtual host is not found in the LDAP
database. You can put a "virtual host not found" page or some other fancy
stuff in the fallback virtual host.

About: OpenWFE is a workflow engine. It is robust, extensible, and
scalable. Access libraries for Python, Perl, and .NET make it easy to
write custom interfaces or agents (automatic participants) for a
workflow-enabled system.

Changes: A scheduler replaced the mechanism of pool iteration, which was
not precise. This enables the implementation of the 'cron' expression for
recurring flow events. The 'when' and the 'sleep' expression were adapted.
'environments' were provided as variable stores, simplifying the variable
lookup semantic and reducing the cost of variable lookup. A shorter launch
time and field insertion order preservation were implemented. Subprocesses
are now definable at engine level.

About: p54u is a reverse engineered driver  for USB Prism54 SoftMAC
wireless devices with  the ISL3880, ISL3886, and GW3887 chipsets.  It
supports many of the USB adapters sold  nowadays.

Changes: This major release includes many changes coming from firmware
reverse engineering. It includes basic support for the firmware being
written from scratch, FreeMAC (unusable for most users for now). The
memory allocation system has been reverse engineered. Most of the device's
failures came from the poor handling of those in previous p54u versions.
The SoftMAC protocol has been rewritten and cleaned up. The driver
architecture has been completely reworked; it is far more stable and no
longer relies on giant locking.

About: phpLogCon is a Web front-end for syslog and other network event
data. It provides easy browsing and some basic analysis. Network events
are taken from a database, where they must be stored by a feeding
application (not part of phpLogCon itself). Depending on database
contents, phpLogCon can process syslog messages, Windows event log entries
and some more exotic things. It works together with rsyslogd, an enhanced
syslog deamon but can also team up with any other application capable of
writing to a database. 

Changes: Some usability and other GUI changes were made along with some
bugfixes. Though only minor things were changed, upgrading to this version

the server. For tamper resistance, it supports signed

supports http-keep-alive for best performance. Dynamic pages are served

About: TurboPrint is a high-quality printer driver system for Linux built
on existing standards (e.g. ghostscript). It is designed to produce
maximum quality photo printouts as well as high-speed text documents. It
provides printer drivers for almost every inkjet printer, e.g. Canon BJC /
S, Epson Stylus Color & Photo, HP DeskJet. All printer features are
supported. TurboPrint comes with its own color matching system
"TrueMatch". High quality color profiles ensure optimum color reproduction
