About: Asymptopia Crossword Builder is a JavaScript application. A robust
GUI allows users to submit arbitrary length lists of key-hint pairs which
can be regenerated an unlimited number of times until the user wants to
accept the layout. The dhtml interface provides a configuration panel,
key- generating panel (i.e. answer sheet), puzzle-generating panel (blank
squares with numbers for accross/down), and an across-down-hints panel
which generates the text hints and numerical location on the puzzle. It
includes support for hyphenated words, and an example file demonstrating
how you can produce math crosswords.
Changes: Mathematics capabilities were added. The online JavaScript
interface can now be used to generate unlimited math or word crosswords,
and the program automatically generates addition, subtraction,
multiplication, and algebraic equations. Documentation and a tutorial
were also added.

About: INews is a system to write and publish newspapers on the internet.
INews is different because the newspapers it produces have a traditional
structure, with pages and articles distributed like in a paper newspaper.

the newspaper, a reader application to read the last edition of the

About: Java Serialization to XML (JSX) allows you to write and read any
Java object graph as XML data with one line of code. You can verify your
data and manipulate it with standard XML tools like DOM, JDOM, and XSLT.
JSX automatically creates a file format/wire protocol for all Java
objects, so that it is always up to date as the code evolves. When you
need backward compatibility, JSX provides the evolution techniques of Java
Object Serialization, and you can also modify the XML directly. Unlike

About: MultiTail lets you view one or multiple files like the original
tail program. The difference is that it creates multiple windows on your
console (with ncurses). Merging of 2 or more log files is possible. It can
also use colors while displaying the log files (through regular
expressions) for faster recognition of what is important. It can also
filter lines (again with regular expressions). It has interactive menus
for editing given regular expressions and deleting and adding windows. One
can also have windows with the output of shell scripts and other software.
When viewing the output of external software, MultiTail can mimic the
functionality of tools like 'watch'.
Changes: One can now bind actions (external programs) to keys which
perform no current function in MultiTail (for example: 'g' starts
/usr/bin/ping). Window sizes are configurable, the user interface is more
consistent, and there are several small fixes.

for their WLAN cards. ndiswrapper tries to solve this by making a kernel
module that can load Ndis (Windows network driver API) drivers. The goal

Changes: Integrated RPM packaging, better makefiles, a new, simpler
installation method, better support for multiple driver and cards, and
support for some more kernels. Suspend and resume now follows the new

that caused star to complain about "star rf filename ..." when "filename"
was not an empty file was fixed. By default, cpio now restores all

About: SCons is a software construction tool (build tool substitute for
Make) implemented in Python. It features a modular build engine that can
be embedded in other software. SCons configuration files are Python
scripts that call the build engine API. It can scan files to detect
dependencies automatically and maintain a global view of all dependencies
in a build tree, and uses MD5 signatures to detect changed file contents
reliably. Timestamps can be used if you prefer. SCons also supports
parallel builds and is easily extensible through user-defined builder and

workstations. It is roughly an open source equivalent to RIS, but without
the need for Windows servers. It allows you to install your OS, hotfixes,

traditional boot disk is now based on FreeDOS, thanks to recent

About: ZUUL (The Gatekeeper) is intended to operate on a stack of modems.
When an IP packet arrives and the target is known by the phone table, it
connects one of the modems to the resolved phone number. This is done by
pppd and chat. ZUUL leaves most of the configuration with the used
programs. It is partly based on diald, and is especially interesting for
people who need to call a large number of stations (with different phone
numbers) over a modem.
