   I'm trying to compile freetype on an sgi with ldflags like
   this:

     make LDFLAGS="-n32 -shared -elf -no_unresolved"

   But when I do this I always get link commands like this

     ld -n32 -shared -o .libs/libttf.so.3.1.0 -soname libttf.so
     -set_version 3.1.0:2.0:3.0 freetype.o ftxkern.o ftxgasp.o
     ftxpost.o ftxcmap.o ftxwidth.o ftxerr18.o

   Can anyone advise me on how to get my "-elf" option into that line?

Please get a development snapshot
(ftp://ftp.freetype.org/pub/freetype/devel/freetype-current.tar.gz);
it has been recently updated to the latest libtool version. If it
still doesn't work please contact the libtool maintainers for help.

    Werner
