From the CHANGES file:

    - The hexadecimal format of data after the `StartData' command in
CID-keyed Type 1 fonts is now supported. While this can't occur
in file-based fonts, it can happen in document-embedded
      resources of PostScript documents.

Currently, FreeType only tests the string

  %!PS-Adobe-3.0 Resource-CIDFont

to check whether it is a CID font. I wonder whether I shall extend
this to support

  %%BeginResource: CIDFont ...

also -- it would be then possible to load such resource-defined fonts
directly with FreeType. Similar things could be done for other font
formats also.

Thoughts?

    Werner
