Guys, I must admit that below happened:
# cat tds.driver.template
Description = My tds - Pravin
Driver = /usr/local/lib/libtdsodbc.so
# find /usr/local -name libtdsodbc.so
/usr/local/lib/libtdsodbc.so
# odbcinst -i -d -f tds.driver.template
odbcinst: iniOpen failed on tds.driver.template.
I created odbcinst.ini file myself under /usr/local/etc. Is this breaking something \
or is there something wrong with the installation of unixODBC or FreeTDS? I am not \
sure. Please help.

Subject: isql connection hangs
Hi All,
Below are my files:
/usr/local/etc/freetds.conf
[SQL1]
tds version = 8.0
dump file = /tmp/freetds.log
dump file append = no
/usr/local/etc/odbc.ini
[MSSQLTestServer]
Driver = FreeTDS
Description = Test SQL Swerver
Trace = No
Servername = \\16.138.74.27\BTHUYAVANA11\SQLSERVER
Port = 1433
Database = master
Situation:1 If I give proper user name & password, I get connected, but not getting \
the <SQL> prompt. Why?
# isql -v MSSQLTestServer 'sa' 'Windows2003server'
It simply hangs up
Situation:2 : If I give wrong username or password I get below
# isql -v MSSQLTestServer 'sa' '123'
[S1000][unixODBC][FreeTDS][SQL Server]Unable to connect to data source
[01000][unixODBC][FreeTDS][SQL Server]Adaptive Server connection failed
[ISQL]ERROR: Could not SQLConnect
Please help. This is very critical for me. I am trying from past 1 week. Am I missing \
something?
Thanks and regards,
Pravin Goyal
