Typically the Port is seperate from the server....

Server = ntbox.foo.com
Port = 1234

This make it easier to understand when someone is editing the odbc.ini 
by hand and even by config tools. :)

BTW: Its not uncommon for the driver to lookup settings in the odbc.ini 
after the call by the DM to connect... for example to handle unusual 
settings.
