I think, it can be done using Originate call and then call Playback()

right? Can you share with me how you do using switch_ivr_originate() ?

I'm porting a dialer application to FS as well. Although I'm still not as familiar \
with FS APIs as I would like, I'm using switch_ivr_originate() on a module I call \
mod_dialer, which iterates with MySQL to generate the calls and stuff.

You probably may find another better strategy to generate the calls. Take a look at \
the wiki: http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Freeswitch_IVR_Originate

Any idea how I can do this using Freeswitch. at present we are using a
commercial VOIP SIP engine to do this
We would like to port the application to Freeswitch.

    Thanks
