My ISP is my school and they don't offer fixed IP address. It's all dynamic
addressing. Does this make me a dysfunctional node? If so, I'll have to
find another ISP. But, as I understand it, few ISP's offer static addressing.
Also, how much content can the network regularly accommodate? Should I
begin pushing content?
Finally, when I use the command:
C:\java\freenet\freenet>finsert -type audio/mpeg "mp3/miles davis/bitches
itches brew.mp3" "DAVIS, MILES-BITCHES BREW--02--Bitches Brew.mp3"
Node running on 1409
ff94af02a7c4d72d - HandshakeRequest -> tcp/127.0.0.1:19114
ff94af02a7c4d72d - HandshakeReply <- tcp/127.0.0.1:19114
8f27ea0749ece1dc - InsertRequest -> tcp/127.0.0.1:19114
Waiting another 94 seconds for a response
8f27ea0749ece1dc - RequestFailed <- tcp/127.0.0.1:19114
The insert could not find a route. Lower the hops-to-live and try again.
How do I lower the htl in the command. Also, is the htl default 15? I know
htl is covered briefly in the FAQ, but can someone explain the function
more clearly-0-e.g., why would lowering htl increase efficiency?
Thanks!
