Hi,
I want to find / create a "splashscreen" program :
- can run under ubuntu 8.04 (2.6.24 kernel - X V 1.4.0.90) (X86)
- can run under ubuntu 10.04 (2.6.32 kernel - X V 1.7.6) (X86)
- can run under Angstrom (2.6.39 kernel - X V1.11.1) (Arm)
This program
- shows picture
- runs at top level
- doesn't show the mouse cursor
- can be stopped by an other program (kill ...)
- is auto-killed after timeout.
I can use a basic program and adding fonctionnalities ...
I thought that it could be a "ScreenSaver":
- starting by command
- doesn't stop with mouse move or key pressed
- stop when receiving an specific event
- exits after timeout.
Looking with "google my friend", i've found some 'xscreensaver' ... or
'splashy' ... but i'm actually not able to analyse correctly every
information i found and i need some help to start in the right
direction.
Thank you for any help or information.
Daniel.
