Hi all,
I'm pleased to announce that the board just approved a sponsorship
program of roughly the same budget as for XDS2007.  It's going to work
the same way, too: if you would like to attend, but just cannot make it,
please send a mail to sponsorship@foundation.x.org (that's
foundation.x.org, not lists.x.org), with the following details:
  * an extremely short description of what you work on,
  * where you live, and the nearest airport(s),
  * how much it would cost to get to Edinburgh (please check around a
    few airlines/websites/etc) -- don't worry about accommodation as
    we'll sort that out.

Note that the list is moderated, but I'll be moderating all the mails
myself, so there's no need to subscribe or anything.  Once I've got it,
I'll get back to you within a day or two, and we'll try to make a
decision pretty quickly.  To that end, please have your applications in
by Wed August 2nd, 12:00 UTC!

Once you've done that, please add yourself to the Attendees page as
pending.  Also, if you're adding yourself to the attendees page, be sure
to note any special dietary requirements, or anything we'd otherwise
need to know.
