I never had the chance to try 915GM's 3D performance under windows, but it
feels very slow; neither Quake 2 or 3 was running remotely fluent with
3D acceleration (although Quake 2 runs (ugly) at 50 fps with software 3d).

I'd assume the 915GM to be able to run a 7 years old game fluently?
