Hi There,

I recently (Oct 5) pulled Kdrive from CVS and compiled and installed it
on a Fedora Core 1 system (HP e-PC with an onboard ATI Rage 128 Pro
Ultra video card). Everything seems to have installed fine; I start the
Kdrive X server and use xrandr (xrandr -o left) to rotate the screen.
The screen rotates properly, as does the mouse pointer graphic. However
the mouse motion does not rotate. The mouse still responds as it would
for a normally oriented screen (motion perpendicular to what it should
be for a 90 degree rotated screen). Here are some more details:

* I'm using Xvesa as Xati will not rotate and Xr128 can't find any
cards.

* Here's the command I use to start X:
	/opt/fdo/bin/Xvesa -nolisten tcp -screen 1024x768x16@90

* the only output to the console that I get from running this is
'Switching to mouse protocol "imps/2"'

* If I understand the documentation correctly, the @90 in the screen
section is supposed to rotate the screen 90 degrees, which it does not
do; there's no difference in my experience between running with -screen
1024x768x16 and -screen 1024x768x16@90; I still have to xrandr -o left
in my .xinitrc anyway.

Does anyone know if this is a shortcoming of my hardware or my
configuration, or if Kdrive simply cannot handle this function. Anyone
have any ideas?

Thanks!
-Jason
