One thing that can help is making sure that the mails have appropriate
headers to allow easy procmail filtering.

These changes are small and should be easily borrowable. (You can check
the GNOME bugzilla source code out of GNOME anonymous CVS as the
'bugzilla-new' module)

They might even be upstream now.
