Hi!

Has there been any work on defining a standard for adding what KDE
calls "kicker icons" and what Gnome calls "application launchers",
i.e. buttons on the bar that is on the top or bottom of the desktop?

KDE seems to add them into ~/.kde/share/config/kickerrc, while gnome
stores them in gconf under /apps/panel/objects/.

If there were a standard for specifying them, just like the menu
specification for the menus, I would be delighted :-).

Cheers,
\EF
