I think a board could be useful if, and only if, a entity around
freedesktop.org was incorporated to manage money and resources, but this
is not currently a concern we have. The DDC gets along just fine
without any sort of formal structure in fd.o, and the servers and
bandwidth are currently all donated. I don't see any real value in a
board right now, doubly not with the proposed structure.
