Thanks; to update you, since we had a parallel thread on the Okular
mailing list, Albert has agreed to make hinting a GUI option that the
user can configure, defaulting to no-hinting. So I suppose that the
actual patch that will be applied to poppler, will rather be about
adding a hook to let the app (that uses poppler) control that.
