Doesn't help if what the script is polling for is networking changes (which is 
what I saw a Kubernetes installation do). systemd-networkd's lack of trigger 
scripts when "stuff happens" is partly to blame here.

However, iproute2's ip command has the monitor subcommand. Then again, there 
are people still using ifconfig.
