Wall plugin [1] supports it too, change both these options
to 3 and then load wall instead of cube and rotate and
initiate expo mode (Super+e)

general/screen0/vsize, general/screen0/hsize

That shows vertical viewports, I assume your original patch
wouldn't allow you to place a window on the middle or bottom
rows.
