I'm not aware of anyone who has done that.  It should be doable if you have
the requisite sparc assembler and C/C++ skills.  The main thing you have to
do is port the HotSpot JVM.  You'll then need to bootstrap the rest of the
build somehow, although I'm pretty sure I can help you with that.

Let me know if you're interested.  I was working on 1.3.1, but am blocked
due to lack of sparc assembler clue.  1.4.2 would be better, but it will
take quite a bit more work (although some parts will be easier since the
code is already 64 bit clean, unlike the 1.3.1 code).
